51 horse-rider-combinations had been nominated in the AustrianRHA Futurity Open go round 3-year-old horses. NRHA Million Dollar Rider Rudi Kronsteiner and the AQHA mare Spook N Ruffles (Smart Spook x Ruffle Me Up) highscored a 222.5 pretty early in the field – and this was to remain so until the end of the go round. Rudi won the Austrian Futurity four times already – the last time in 2016. Spook N Ruffles was bred by Greg Hill and is owned by Brigitte Steiner.
Lukas Brucek and Magico Gallo (Rize Rooster x Snappy My Magic) placed second scoring a 221 with their fine performance. The AQHA stallion was bred by his owner Andrea Parolari. Lukas Brucek operates his Lukas Brucek Performance horses at the Prosper Horse Ranch in the Czech Republic. His NRHA LTE exceed $ 108,000 NRHA LTE, his achievements including multiple Futurity and Derby finalist, multiple Bronze Trophy Champion as well as the 2010 European Futurity Reserve Championship Level 1 and 2, 2011 Reserve Championship Open Level 3, Belgium Futurity Championship and French Derby Championship Open.
Grischa Ludwig and A Shining Gun (Sine My Gun x Lady Buena Freckles) placed third in the L4 Open go round scoring a 219.5. The stallion which was bred by Grischa Ludwig and Silvia Maile and is owned by Andreas Dick, is a son of Shine My Gun, the stallion Grischa was 2015 FEI Reserve European Champion. Ludwig is a multiple German Champion (FN) and multiple Bronze Trophy Champion, NRHA Breeders Futurity Champion and placed fourth at the FEI WEG in Normandy.
Adriano Meacci dominates L3, Roy Van Hoeven in L2 and Jeffrey Touroute-Thomas in L1
The Level 3 was dominated by Italian Adriano Meacci aboard Shenandoah Ranch’s AQHA stallion Topsail Chic Dunit (LMC Im Topsail Dunit x Topolena Pride). The two scored a 217.5. Roy Van Hoeven (NED) and This Dun Is Spaton (Spat Olena x The Jezelbell Dunit, owner Inanna Versteeg) placed second in Level 3 which was also the lead in Level 2, The mare was bred by Piet Mestdagh gezüchtet.
Austrian Valentina Sagmeister and Sylvia Schützenhofer’s The Spacegun (Colonels Smokin Gun x Sterling Peppy San, Züchterin Ramona Levai) placed third in Level 3 scoring a 216.5 which was also second place in Level 2. Here, Jeffrey Touroute-Thomas and Reto Erdin’s Gunworks Finest (Gunwork x BR China Rose) followed on third place scoring a 216.
For Jeffrey Touroute-Thomas and the Mare bred by Reto Erdin, this was the lead in Level 1 Open. FEI European Bronze Medal Winner Elias Ernst and his AQHA mare Big Lovely Shine (Just Gotta Shine x Cashing Big Chex) placed second (214) with Daniela Nicoletti and Anty Snappy Miki (ARC Antares Surprise x Oak Snippy Miki) following on third place (208.5). The gelding was bred by Andrea Bongiorni.
