
The 2019 National Reining Horse Association Futurity and Adequan® North American Affiliate Championships are in full-swing, with the first section of the first go of the Futurity in the books. The 378 entries competing in the Open Futurity at the State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, Okla., will be whittled down over the next week to determine who will compete in the clean-slate finals on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Currently tied for the lead of the Level 4 Open with scores of 220 are reigning Run For A Million Co-Champions Cade McCutcheon and Craig Schmersal. McCutcheon rode Deja Vu With A Gun for David Silva, while Schmersal competed on Tim Anderson’s Starjac Vintage. Starjac Vintage is by A Sparkling Vintage out of Starjac Miss.

McCutcheon and Deja Vu With A Gun, by Gunner out of Dun Its Deja Vu, also lead the Level 3 and Level 2 Open.
The high score of Level 1 Open belongs to Hava Vital and A Sparkling Dream, owned by Dee Dee Boeckman. A Sparkling Dream, by A Sparkling Vintage out of Msdreamy, marked a 218.5.
Martin Larcombe and Lance Griffin’s Drinkin Moonshine lead the Prime Time Open with a 214. Drinkin Moonshine is Shine Chic Shine out of Wimpy Little Girl.
