AustrianRHA Futurity: Massimiliano Ruggeri becomes Austrian Futurity L4 Open Champion der 4-jährig4-year-old Horses, Davide Brighenti wins Open L3 / Huge Success for Lukas Brucek: Open Futurity Champion L4, 3-year-olds Horses / Valentina Sagmeister becomes L3 Open Futurity Champion

What an Austrian Futurity Open final of the 4-year-old horses: Dominik Reminder who had been leading after the L4 go round scored a 228 aboard Clemens Hefel’s Selectively Whiz (Amendago Whiz x Selectively Done). This looked like the Futurity Championship for a long time, but in the end the Austrian Futurity Champion L4 of the 4-year-old horses was Massimiliano Ruggeri aboard Maurizio Ferrarol’s Wimpy Margarita (Wimpys Little Step x Custom Margarita) who scored a 228. Massimiliano Ruggeri was an NRHA European Futurity Finalist with this stallion.

Dominik Reminder and Selectively Whiz became Resyesrve Champion. The horse was bred by Jan Dirk Bodenstab and placed nith at the NRHA Breeders Futurity 2016. Dominik Reminder, who trains in Italy, earned individual and team silver for Germany at the 2017 European Championships. Reminder is a multiple Bronze Trophy Open Champion and earned team silver at the 2016 World Championship. He was  NRHA Open World Reserve Champion 2013 and won the AMERICANA Bronze Trophy Open.

Two riders tied for the Reserve Futurity Championship: Markus Gebert aboard  Whiz A Lot (Spooks Gotta Whiz x Lotti vom Letter Berg) and Davide Brighenti aboard Francesco Bonadeo’s Spooks Gotta Crome (Spooks Gotta Whiz x Chics Love Crome). Both scored a 226.5.

This was also the  Futurity Championship L3 for Brighenti and Spooks Gotta Crome . Reserve Futurity Champion L3 was Klaus Lechner aboard Astrid Eisendle‘s Trashy (Gunnatrashy x ARC Martha Surprise).

Spooks Gotta Crome was bred by Carlo Orsi.  Brighenti, who eaned team gold at the FEI European Championship 2008, was AustrianRHA Futurity Finalist 2016.

Emanuel Ernst and Rooster in Command (Reds Rooster Demaso x Freckled Piroska) placed third scoring a 222.5. The horse is owned by H.P. Reiss. Multiple DQHA Futurity and NRHA Breeders Futurity Champion Emanuel Ernst already placed third at the  Austrian Futurity Open L3 3-year-old horses.

What an unbelievable 3-year-old Futurity Open final  L4 and 3! The go rounds had already predicted a great final, and it got even better!! For a long time it looked like no one could beat  NRHA Million Dollar Rider Rudi Kronsteiner and Brigitte Steiner’s Spook N Ruffles (Smart Spook x Ruffle Me Up). The multiple Austrian Futurity Champion and multiple NRHA World Champion had scored a great 223 with the mare bred by Greg Hill after leading the L4 go round with a  222.5. But then the second of the go round, Lukas Brucek aboard Magico Gallo (Rize Rooster x Snappy My Magic) did even better then. The two scored a  224 becoming  Austrian Futurity Champion Open L4.

Thne 3-year-old stallion Magico Gallo is owned by his breeder Andrea Parolari. It was another big success for the 33-year-oild professionael Lukas Brucek, who started his career as a Co-Trainer of Rudi Kronsteiner and Morey Fisk. Today, he operates his own training facility Lukas Brucek Performance horses at the Prosper Horse Ranch in the Czech Republic and has got NRHA LTE of over $ 108,000. He is a multiple Futurity and Derby Finalist as well as multiple Bronze Trophy Champion.   Also he was 2010 European Futurity Reserve Champion Level 1 and 2 and 2011 Reserve Champion Open Level 3, Belgium Futurity Champion and French Derby Champion Open..

Rudi Kronsteiner and Spook N Ruffles became Reserve Champion.FEI World Champion  Gennaro Lendi placed third aboard Luigi Parise‘s Maytheforcebewhizyou (Spooks Gotta Whiz x Jacs Golden Faith) scoring a 222.5. The horse was bred by Claudia Hahn.

What a great an well earned success for the long and solid work of Austrian professional Valentina Sagmeister: Aboard Sylvia Schützenhofer’s The Spacegun (Gunner x Sterling Peppy San) she scored a 220 in the L3 final winning the Non Pro Futurity, The stallion bred by Ramona Levai had been third after the go round.

Wther 2nd and 3rd place in Int. Open at this Futurity, European Affiliate Reserve Champion Int. Open 2017 or Limited Open beim NRHA Breeders Derby in Kreuth – Valentina Sagmeister is one of the most consistent and successful professionals  of Austria and well known for her Non Pros as well.

Giovanni Masi de Vargas placed second aboard Katharina Dejori‘s Unique Remediz (Lotta Doc x Mollie Kettie) scoring a 219. The stallion was bred by  Garry Biggs. Giovanni Masi, who started his riding career as a multiple FEQHA Eureopan Champion in various disciplines, is one of Italy’s shooting stars in Reining. He was 2015 FEI European Champion and 2014  Austrian Futurity Champion Ltd. Open.

One of Germany’s most successful professionals placed third with only half a point apart: Emanuel Ernst aboard Smaq Lil Gun (Gunner x Spooks Pearl) owned by Derk Wuyster. The mare was bred by SARL La Maqueline. Emanuel Ernst is well known for training young horses for the Futurity which he proved by being a multiple DQHA Futurity Champion and NRHA Breeders Futurity Champion. But he also knows how to show aged horses successfully like the 11-year-old stallion Sailin Playboy with whom he was Equitana Cup Champion and Int. German Champion.
