In the Non Pro Futurity go round of the 4-year-old horses, Italian Chiara Bartoletti and her Holly Jolly Jaba (Jaba Oak x Smart Dolly Hickory) took the lead in L4 scoring a 219.5. With this mare the young University student won the IRHA Futurity Non Pro Level 4, 3 and 2 last year. Chiara, who trains with Adriano Meacci, was 2007 Futurity Champion – when she was only 15. Also, she was 2008 NRHA of Germany Breeders Futurity Non Pro Champion, 2009 NRHA European Futurity Non Pro Level 3 and 4 Reserve Champion, FEI European Reining Championship Young Rider Team Silver Medalist and Individual Gold Medal, 2010 NRHA European Futurity Non Pro Level 3 Reserve Champion, 2011 FEI European Reining Championship Young Rider Team Gold Medal as well as 2016 IRHA/NRHA Derby Non Pro Champion Levels 4, 3 and 2.
Two riders tied for second place in L4 scoring a 217 each: Sarah Ehrenreich aboard her mare Diabolika Gunmachine (Colonel Smoking Gun x Chic Luv Chocolate) and Franziska Wallner aboard Heidi Wallner’s Mai Tai Enterprise (Chex Enterprise x Revolutions Chic Jac). Diabolika Gun Machine and Sarah were Ltd. Non Pro Reserve Champion at the Euro Futurity and Res. Champion Breeders Futurity
This also meant the lead in Level 3 for the two together with Attilio Bonarelli aboard Spartaco Elvis (Elvis Peppys Taco x Lil Matt Dun) – a stallion he ride into the European Futurity final 2016. Piero Priori and Frozen Jessie (Frozen Sailor x Jessie Oak Tari) as well as Wolfgang Hammer aboard Mr Ricochet (Ricochet Rooster x Docs Oak Rosy) who scored a 216.5..
Franziska Wallner and Attilio Bonarelli also tied for the lead in L1 with Piero Priori and Frozen Jessie placing third.
