A New Million Dollar Face – Pale Face Dunnit

For Immediate Release – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – October 29, 2018 – Members of the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) enjoy welcoming new faces to the sport every day. From eager youth wanting to experience a sliding stop and breeders bringing new prospects to the show pen to the moments when NRHA honors a new Million Dollar Sire, all levels of accomplishment are celebrated. Today, NRHA recognizes Pale Face Dunnit as a new face in the NRHA Million Dollar Sires club with unofficial offspring earnings totaling more than $1 million.

Pale Face Dunnit is proudly owned by Schmersal Reining Horses and Silver Spurs Equine of Scottsdale, Arizona, where he stands at stud. The 2007 AQHA/APHA palomino/dunalino stallion has ties running deep in Arizona having been bred by NRHA Million Dollar Owner Rancho Oso Rio, LLC also located in Scottsdale. “Gold Digger” is by NRHA Ten Million Dollar Sire Gunner and out of Lena Dun It ($48,600+ NRHA LTE) by NRHA Six Million Dollar Sire Hollywood Dun It.

Pale Face Dunnit started his show career under the guidance of NRHA Million Dollar Rider Randy Paul and owner Shari Kay Jaster winning the Rocky Mountain Summer Slide Level (L)4 Open Futurity Championship, tying for 3rd in Scottsdale L4 Open Futurity, and placing in the top ten at the NRHA L4 Open Futurity. Following those achievements, Craig and Ginger Schmersal (Hickory Creek Ranch, LLC) purchased Gold Digger in 2011. With NRHA Three Million Dollar Craig Schmersal in the saddle, he went on to be a two-time NRHA L4 Open Derby finalist, National Reining Breeders Classic L4 Open finalist, High Roller Reining Classic L4 Open Derby Reserve Champion (229 score), top ten finisher at the AQHA World Championship Show in Junior Reining, and United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) National Open Reserve Champion. In all, Pale Face Dunnit earned more than $70,000 in NRHA Lifetime Earnings

The accomplished show horse switched gears breeding to a limited number of mares starting in 2011. The following seasons saw more and more breeders taking their mares to him looking for their next champion. Now with only four foals crops of competition age, Pale Face Dunnit has proven his worth in the breeding shed and earned the distinction of being an NRHA Million Dollar Sire. Pale Face Dunnit’s top performing offspring include:

  • Face The Attitude (out of Miss Lil Addy Tude) – $161,700 NRHA LTE
  • Phantom Face (out of Gorgeous Like A Star) – $94,800 NRHA LTE
